Get To Know Joe Evans
A dedicated public servant for Boise...
Raised in Idaho, I attended schools now in the West Ada School District.
I'm proud to be the grandson of two WWII veterans and Southwest Idaho farmers. My parents, both entrepreneurs—and talented artists—instilled in me a strong work ethic and a love for our community. My early family experiences, growing up with four siblings, our family was deeply rooted in the LDS Community.
In my early 20s, I immersed myself in the local community, working various jobs in the valley—from construction to the service industry—and assisting my parents in their entrepreneurial endeavors—my commitment to service extended beyond Idaho when I joined the Army.
My military service took me to many corners of the world: aiding efforts in Haiti, addressing the Cuban Refugee Crisis, deploying to Korea, completing three tours in Afghanistan, one in Iraq, and supporting the War on Terror in the Philippines.
After my service, I returned home and furthered my education. Thanks to the G.I. Bill, I earned two Bachelor's Degrees from Boise State University. Today, I harness the discipline and skills from my diverse experiences as a non profit manager and solar technician.
